Duration: 53 Min.
AU$46.00/each plus
AU$5.50(overseas AU$10.50) postage and handling.
Because the original Tai Ji 13 Dao was
a short performing routine set, it was under 3 minutes when performed with
normal speed.
To meet time limit (between 3~4
minutes) of traditional routine Tao Lu performance in competition or
assessment, many schools in Northern
Wu style Tai Chi lineage have put more
or less extra movements in the original set. Examples can be found in various
Wu Style Tai Ji
13 Dao VCDs or DVDs from different
school teachings.
Like others, we put two or three extra
movements in the original set too. One of these extra movements is adopted from
the Tai Ji 13 Dao
Tao Lu taught by Master Ma Jin Long
who is a disciple of grand master Wang Pei Sheng. The name of this extra
movement is called:
<金钱代镖连珠发> - throwing
12 coins as 12 darts.
In Chinese martial arts history, the
edge sharpened ancient Chinese coins were well used as concealed weapons for
fighting or assassinating.
So it is understood that these kinds
of techniques are not commonly or publicly taught in history. Today, we can
only be able to learn the
movements of their throwing; the
techniques of the throwing for targets are unknown.
The 12 coins are launched in four
times, each time, there are 3 coins used as one bundle being picked up from
launcher’s pocket in waist area
and then thrown by launcher's right
hand. The throwing movements are consistent, vivid and unique.
This DVD will show you a Northern Wu Style Tai Chi sabre with the 12
coins throwing.
